GRIMPEUR JR SERIES ~ 2500LT & 3000LT MECHANICAL DRIVE
Welcome to the all new Grimpeur JR Series. A new pressurised CAT4 cab, climate control, Tier 4B 170hp Adblue tractor engine, 50kph, Cruise control and ECO Drive saving 25% on road fuel usage.
The Range has mechanical drive with all the traction, reliability and simplicity associated with standard axles. Better than this, with right size floatation wheels, this machine only has 5psi ground pressure fully loaded. 4 wheel steer and spray on/off are selected by floor switch for speed and ease when turning. Cab visibility is good, Air conditioning, carbon filters, C D player, pneumatic seat are all standard.
There is a pedal and differential lock. All-round axle suspension is standard which is load sensing. It has a 170hp 4 cylinder FPT engine which gives more than enough horse power, and importantly – huge torque levels, especially on steep hills. It can travel up to 50k on the road. It now has Field Cruise control and ECO Drive, saving masses of fuel and giving un-rivaled in field performance. This machine is by far the most capable in its class!
The MAC MC range has the best of both worlds when it comes to mechanical drive. The mechanical axles are driven with a conventional differential and mechanical gearbox but to get the plus points of hydrostatic drive. For example; infinite speed variation without touching engine revs. No gear changing from forward to reverse very handy in tight corners. Finger tip joystick control. All boom functions which consist of independent boom arm geometry, independent boom section folding and parallel lift arm height adjustment are also mounted on the joystick. The whole boom being sprung on the parallelogram lift. The under boom clearance is over 2.5m

A stunning layout of simple quality switches with a digital display for engine rpm, fuel level and system monitoring help to make the operators day that bit easier! The Mueller / Bargam, or Arag controller makes spraying effortless. One system to control the sprayer, all the GPS functions, variable rate application and auto height control. One box that does everything! All the machines in this series are ISOBUS. This means we can connect, for example a Trimble FMX screen into the cab directly using the Mueller ports that are already present.

The answer – too small diameter wheels on a large machine! A motor is designed so the weight is carried dead centre an not off set. If the wheel diameter is small, the motor cannot be installed within the wheel dish and putting the weight in the right position on the wheel motor bearing. A tall wheel makes this easy and therefore, far more reliable! If you look at the class leading machines on the world market – all have a tall wheel! This is for 2 reasons!

The latest machines are all coming with ECO drive and Cruise control. This has also given a system that automatically controls the drive and the engine RPM simultaneously. This saves fuel and give a smooth and uncomplicated drive. In the field, if 12kph is set, and you come to a hill, the RPM may change and the oil flow to the drive increase, but the speed will remain at 12kph, the machine simply sorts it all out!
Boom functions which consist of independent boom arm geometry, independent boom section folding and parallel lift arm height adjustment are also mounted on the joystick. The SL boom normally fitted to the MAC range was designed for working in Australia and Russia where the average spraying speed is around 20k, this is why each boom arm is independently sprung, as well as the whole boom being sprung on the parallelogram lift. The boom main fold rams are in the “closed” position when the boom is open, effectively doubling the strength. The SL Boom is available up to a width of 32m.
We also offer a great tri fold 28m to 36m boom which folds to 12, 24 and 36m. or 28/24/12m or 30/32/24/12. Variable geometry and independent boom arm suspension is standard.

GRIMAC ES SERIES 2500LT & 3000LT
The latest Grimac ES Series is a fully hydrostatic machine offering 1.2m un obstructed under axle clearance. Why is it better than other machines in its class? Wheel size! Other hydrostatic machines have small diameter wheels giving a far higher weight concentration on the ground! If you want to handle different terrain successfully, tall wheels are essential! Also standard is the SRS anti skid system which is intelligent traction control, giving a true 4×4 system to a hydrostatic machine. This helps in both up hill and down hill situations, as well as wet conditions.
The machine features a category 4 pressurised cab which is one of the best on the sprayer market. Climate control, refrigerated cool box and smart, ergonomic console, connected to a high back Air sprung seat. There are no rear corner pillars giving excellent boom visibility.
The machine is powered by a 4 cylinder 170hp FPT tractor engine, giving unrivalled power and torque. Adblue Tier4B Final (Euro5) technology is now here to stay, so this machine ticks all the boxes and is future proof with regard to emissions. Engine and transmission management is automatic. In the field, the machine decides engine rpm according to power requirement and it is very good at it! Cruise control is also standard, so you can set the cruise speed and the machine will hold that speed, increasing the engine rpm as required, without increasing the forward speed, therefore keeping consistent spraying speed and minimizing changes in pressures
The standard machine starts with a 2500lt tank with an option of a 3000lt tank. Booms are up to 24m with the possibility of 28m in the future. Variable boom geometry is standard. Recirculating booms can be added as well as a full GPS system. We can fit ARAG, MUELLER or TRIMBLE systems to our machines.
It weighs in at 6500kg unladen. With the standard wheel size, it it quite light on its feet!

GRIMAC JR SERIES 1300LT & 1600LT
The Bargam Grimac JR Series is our smallest agricultural self propelled sprayer. The machine is fitted with a 122hp Deutz Tier4 engine. It has 2 tank sizes of either 1300lt or 1600lt. The maximum boom size is 24m. An air sleeve can be fitted up to 15m.
The cab is quiet (even more so as the engine is rear mounted). The machine is hydrostatically driven by 4 wheels motors. Selectable 4 wheel steer is controlled by a floor switch and a road speed of 40kph also feature. The machine has hydropneumatic suspension on the front and Airo boom suspension at the rear.
It is light too, coming in at under 4000kg. Available with hydraulic axle adjust for different wheel track widths which is controlled from the cab.
GPS controllers by either ARAG or MUELLER are available, with other extras like auto boom height control and other modern sophisticated features are all available. This machine uses the same technology that we have on our larger models, so reliability is up there with our larger machines where some customers are doing 1500hrs per year +.
This machine has been sold in other countries around the world for the past 5 years. The first machine in the UK is operating in Lincolnshire and was delivered in March 2017.
